Craig, Henry County Superior Court, McDonough, Georgia;  Public Defender, City of McDonough Recorder’s Court; Assistant Solicitor, Henry County State Court.

Former Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, Department of Human Resources, representing the Henry County Department of Family and Children Services.

Retired from the U.S. Navy/Naval Reserve where she repaired and maintained shipboard and nuclear submarine communication and control systems, and served as both a technical instructor and coordinator for the electrical division of the US. Submarine Base in Pearl Harbor. She was the senior enlisted advisor at the Atlanta Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Marietta centers. Before attending law school, Ms. Whitaker was also employed as an executive secretary, a journeyman mechanic, and an electronics technician for the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S. Postal Service.
